Closings and Openings

Posted by on Jul 1, 2016 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Dear Emergence Community,  It is with mixed emotions that I announce the closing of Emergence Healing Arts Studio. As some of you may know, I am transitioning into a new life stage and starting a family. This in conjunction with increasing costs in SF have led me to the decision that it is time to let Emergence go for now as I embark on this next personal journey. The great news is that the studio space will remain a center for healing, with many of the same great practitioners in place! Zohreh Sadeghi, a Doctor of Ayurveda, will be taking over the space. As of July 1st, 4052 18th Street...

Emergence No Longer Offering Massage

Posted by on Mar 28, 2016 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

Dear Emergence Community, It is with deep regret that I have made the decision to stop offering massage at Emergence for now. Due to new city regulations requiring all massage therapists to become massage establishments, we have decided it is too cost-prohibitive for us to go through this extensive process at this time. I will be going on Maternity leave later this year, and will perhaps decide to go through the process when I return from leave. Addendum to “Grow your Life”, in the Year of the Water Snake

Posted by on Mar 7, 2013 in Uncategorized | 0 comments

The posts on our site are often articles that we are writing and sharing in our client newsletter. I had this month’s all cued up to send, with my article on “Grow your Life”, focusing on the outward movement traditionally found in Spring. Then as luck would have it, I was awakened early and decided to begin listening to a respected San Francisco practitioner,  Lui Ming, who gives an annual talk on what to expect and how to make the most of the cycles of this coming year from a Chinese cosmology perspective. Ten minutes into the talk, he turned my article upside down! Full...

Grow your Life

We’ve been hunkering down for the Winter, reflecting, rebuilding our reserves and preparing for the new season of growth- right in time for Spring! As we continue to move through the transition into a new season it is a great time to consciously bridge those two movements: the inward winter, moving into the outward focus of spring. We are currently in the transition now between Winter and Spring, which is a great time to consciously bridge those two movements: the inward winter, moving into the outward focus of spring. Take a moment to feel into your body, is it trying to...
